Manitowoc Lincoln junior Noah Wech went 3 for 4 including a double and 5 RBIs while Bryce Erdmann and Evan Deicher handled mound duties in the Ships’ 8-4 win at Green Bay Preble yesterday afternoon.
Erdmann pitched the first 5 innings and Deicher closed out the Hornets, enabling Coach Bruce Steinbecker’s team to improve to 14-and-2 overall, 11-and-2 in the FRCC.
Brady Hadler went 2 for 3 and Brayden Steinbecker was 2 for 4.
Also, senior Brock Peterson was credited with playing an amazing 3rd base by his coach.
The Ships will play their 4th game this week tonight when they travel to Ashwaubenon for a 7:30 contest against the Jaguars.
Lincoln and De Pere are currently tied atop the league standings with Bay Port half a game back at 11-and-3.
Ashwaubenon is just one game out with a record of 10-and-3.
