Students from Valders High School fared very well at the WPS Solar Olympics Wednesday.
The Vikings took home victories in the Solar Cooker, Solar Jeopardy Team, Solar Photography, and Solar Water Heater categories.
Also during the competition at UW Oshkosh, the Valders team took over the top honors among all teams, followed by Marathon High School and Marinette High School.
There were a total of 13 solar-themed events with the top three finishers earning gold, silver, and bronze medals.
Now in its 27th year, Solar Olympics gives high school students a fun, hands-on opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of an important source of clean energy.
