Manitowoc’s Wisconsin Maritime Museum is hosting the 46th annual model ships and boat show this weekend featuring a display both Saturday and Sunday.
There will also be a contest ending in a People’s Choice Award later Sunday.
Maritime Museum’s Kevin Cullen tells Seehafer News, “We have 50 different models and it covers a wide range of vessel types in six categories. It is a contest, so they get awards and prize money.”
There are multiple categories for models to be entered in including models built from scratch, paper boats, kit models, and operational models.
They feature a variety of skill levels.
“These are advanced models to intermediate as well as novice,” Cullen noted. “We encourage all levels of skill to participate.”
This event is overlapping with the Member Swap weekend which allows members from any of the Manitowoc museums to visit the others at no cost.
There will be many activities for all ages.
