The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development yesterday released April unemployment figures.
Preliminary jobless figures decreased or stayed the same in 28 of Wisconsin’s 35 largest cities over the month.
Seven cities including Manitowoc at 2.2% and Green Bay (2.1%) tied or had all-time low unemployment rates since data collection began.
Checking the county list, the rate last month in Manitowoc County was 2.1%, down half a percent from March figures as 60 counties report historically low April jobless numbers.
