The Lakeshore Invasive Species Management Area is hosting their annual Invasive Plant Pull-a-Thon.
The event is taking place next Saturday, June 3rd at Lower Henry Schuette Park in Manitowoc from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to remove invasive species along the Manitowoc River.
It is recommended that volunteers wear long pants and closed-toe shoes due to the wooded area and to bring work gloves if you have them.
Volunteer groups that remove the most plants by weight will receive a prize from the Cellcom Green Gifts Giving Program.
