Local and area High School athletes will see postseason action in three sports this afternoon.
In Division 3 WIAA Sectional Girls Softball, Mishicot plays a semifinal game on the road against top-seeded New Holstein, with the winner to play either Peshtigo or Amherst in the Sectional finals on Thursday.
In Division-4, St. Mary Catholic visits #1 seeded Algoma, with the victor to face either Bonduel or Iola-Scandinavia for the right to go to state.
There are area teams in three divisions participating in the WIAA Regional Boys Baseball Tournament.
Starting in Division-2, top-ranked Denmark plays host to Luxemburg-Casco while Chilton, which also received a #1 seed in the lower half of the bracket, is home for Waupaca.
Division-3 games include Mishicot hosting St. Mary Catholic, Brillion on the road to face Kiel, Howards Grove traveling to Southern Door, and New Holstein visiting Kewaunee.
In Division-1, top-seeded Manitowoc Lincoln has a bye and awaits the winner of Fond du Lac at Slinger in a Regional championship game set for Thursday.
This afternoon, Sheboygan North is at West Bend East while Sheboygan South visits Watertown.
The Girls Soccer tournament also gets underway later today.
.In Division-1, Manitowoc Lincoln travels to Milwaukee to battle Divine Savior Holy Angels, Sheboygan North is hosting Appleton East, and Sheboygan South goes to (Hartland) Arrowhead while in Division-3, Two Rivers has a road trip to the Fox Valley area to meet Little Chute.
