The Manitowoc County Airport and EAA 383 chapter are holding an Airport Day celebration on Saturday, June 3rd.
The event will include a pancake breakfast from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. with brats and burgers following until 2:00 p.m.
Along with having great food throughout the day, airplane rides are offered by the Sheboygan Flying Club throughout the day.
You can get a 20-minute ride for $35.
We spoke with Brian Linger, the airport manager at the Manitowoc County Airport who gave us some information on the importance of this event.
He said, “It’s always good to get the community out here to see that Manitowoc County has an airport and that it’s functioning and beautiful. That there are planes and people and events going on here.”
Airport Day will also be featuring a fly-in and drive-in. This is a great opportunity for people to see some planes and collectible cars and motorcycles.
Linger told us that “If you are interested in flying your airplane into Manitowoc and getting food here at the chapter, you are welcome to do that.”
