Fire Fitness Camp in Sheboygan will be hosting the Racin’ for Rescues 5k Run/Walk this Saturday to support Paws Up Rescue.
There is a $25 sign-up fee to participate in the race but all proceeds go directly to Paws Up Rescue.
Though this is the second year this event has been held, Chelsea Archer, the head coach and assistant manager at Fire Fitness Camp tells us how important the fundraiser is this year.
While on the WCUB Breakfast Club, she noted “Since COVID has ended and people have gone back to work, there are more animals in shelters than there ever were before.”
Along with the 5k run-walk, there are going to be vendors and lawn games stationed at Fire Fitness Camp.
Festivities start at 9:00 a.m. with raffle baskets and the opportunity to dunk the Fire Fitness Coaches in a dunk tank.
There will also be adoptable animals and animals looking to be fostered from Paws Up Rescue at the event.
“We’re trying to make it an entire family event,” Archer explained. “And the best part about the run-walk is it’s for the animals so we want you to bring your animals”
The 5k run/walk will be held at Fire Fitness Camp located at 3821 Kohler Memorial Drive.
