A number of high school athletes from around Manitowoc County today begin their pursuit of a podium finish at the WIAA State Track and Field Championships in La Crosse.
The meet at the Veterans Memorial Stadium Complex on the campus of UW-La Crosse began at 9:30 this morning with events in Divisions 2 and 3, and will be followed by the Division-1 session beginning at 4:30 p.m.
The competition resumes Saturday morning at 9:30 with the order of the finals for each event starting with D-3 athletes.
