Republicans are working to tighten election laws in Wisconsin.
An Assembly committee will hear four bills on Tuesday (June 6th) that would alter some of Wisconsin’s election laws.
One would require military voters to present a photo ID, while the other would assist local election officials in covering the costs associated with required special elections.
It’s unclear which of the plans, if any, will be put into effect.
Any legislation that Governor Evers believes will make voting in Wisconsin more difficult will be overridden, he has vowed.
