In semi-pro baseball last night, the Manitowoc Bandits had a very successful opening night in the Shoreland League.
Coach Chris Cisler’s team defeated the Ashwaubenon Lookouts 7-to-1 in a game played at Ashwaubomay Park.
The Bandits jumped on top early, thanks to a 3-run double from Ridge Guyette in the first inning and that’s all starting and winning pitcher Luke Mandich needed.
Mandich worked 8 innings and allowed only 4 hits and struck out 12.
The Bandits are at Municipal Field tomorrow (June 9th) night for their home opener against the Appleton Legends.
First pitch is at 7:30 p.m.
