The Two Rivers Police Department has officially welcomed two new police officers.
City Manager Greg Buckley tells us that newly promoted police Sergeant Jacob Schweigl had his badge pinning ceremony held at Monday’s City Council meeting.
Buckley tells us that Schweigl “was recently approved for a promotion to the position of sergeant, and within the last month or so had joined our department coming from the Cleveland Police Department.”
A pinning ceremony was also held for a new hire Justin Jackson who will be headed to the police academy late this summer.
With this new addition to the police department, they are back up to complete staffing levels.
Additionally, the Two Rivers Fire Department promoted Dave Murack to Fire Chief after spending many years as the Assistant Chief of EMS And Community Outreach.
Buckley says Murack has been an integral part of the Department’s growth in recent years, noting he “has played a big role in a lot of the progress we’ve made in EMS services and has been a strong leader and the department advocate for education and new technology.”
Buckley also noted that his expertise is sure to lead the Two Rivers Fire Department to great success in the future.
