Holy Family Memorial Froedtert Health is taking exercise out in the public with “Fit in The Park”, a five-part program taking place in conjunction with Healthiest Manitowoc County and the Park & Rec Department.
A different exercise class will be held at each session, followed by a short presentation.
All the sessions will be held at Red Arrow Park in Manitowoc.
The first session is scheduled for June 15th at 4:40 in the afternoon featuring yoga followed by a presentation on salt and heart health.
The programs then run on June 29th, July 22nd, July 27th, and August 11th.
They’re open to the entire public, and there is no charge. Kate Nickel of Holy Family gives some more tips, including arriving just a bit early.
“Ten to fifteen minutes early to kind of settle in/sign in,” she said. “We do encourage everyone to bring your own water and wear sunscreen…and obviously for the yoga to also to bring a mat if you’re coming to that first one. “
Tony Bieri of the Wellness Center reminds us we’ll be in good hands as “All the classes will be run by our certified fitness professionals from the Wellness Center.”
A complete schedule for “Fit in the Park” can be found at the Wellness Center’s Facebook page under “events”.
