The Manitowoc Police Department reports the results of the Click It or Ticket seatbelt campaign.
From May 22 to June 4 this year, officers issued 7 citations for seatbelt violations, using it as an opportunity to educate individuals on the importance of wearing a seatbelt.
Officers also issued 68 citations, 189 field warnings, and made 266 traffic stops for other traffic violations during the campaign.
The Manitowoc Police Department is calling this year’s campaign “a success”.
The campaign ran throughout Memorial Day weekend, which is an active and dangerous time on the roads.
