A reminder for drivers in Manitowoc, the South 21st Street Bridge is down to one lane of traffic in each direction.
According to Greg Minikel, the Engineering Division Manager, crews will be conducting some concrete patching on the bridge deck, starting with the outer lanes.
After that section is completed, the inner lanes will be done, and the outer lanes will be used for travel.
Then, after a 30-day curing period, crews will return to the bridge to do some final deck sealing work, which will follow the same closure pattern.
It is anticipated that the sealing will be done in the middle of July, and the entire project completed by the end of the month.
