A memorial ride/cruise is being held on Saturday (June 17th) to honor Vietnam Veteran Dennis J Murphy.
The event begins with registration at Harbor Town Harley Davidson from 9 to 11 a.m. located at 2433 Hecker Road in Manitowoc.
It is open to motorcycles and other vehicles. After registration, the Manitowoc Police Department is providing an escort through the city starting at 10:30 a.m. to the first stop, Submariner’s Pub, a Veteran owned business.
There will be three stops made after that to Wildcat’s in Branch, Ashley’s Squirrel Cage in Kellnersville, and Marsh Inn in Collins.
The last stop is Shadow’s Bar in School Hill, which is also a Veteran owned business.
There will be door prizes, food for purchase starting at 1:00, music from 2:00 to 6:00, and a silent auction from 1 to 5:30, which includes a London 2022 Packer football signed by the team and staff.
Dennis J Murphy served for the United States Navy on the River Patrol Boats in 1966.
He passed away in 2021, after suffering for years from the effects of Agent Orange.
All proceeds from the event are being donated to Old Glory Honor Flight in his memory.
