Almost every person in the world personally knows someone who has been diagnosed with cancer, and it’s not an easy thing to hear.
James Schramm, a local Manitowoc resident received the news no one wants to hear: “Your girlfriend has brain cancer”.
During all of this, his only goal is to make her happy and to support her during this time of hardship.
Schramm tells Seehafer News that he has planned a fundraising event to help with the costs and stress that his girlfriend has been burdened with.
Schramm tells us, “The event is going to be on July 2nd. It’s 11:00 to 5:00, and it’s at Branch River Golf Course…We’re going to have raffles. We’re going to have a DJ there, and there also will be food there.”
Schramm has visited over 70 local businesses, including bars, restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, and more seeking their support.
While donations are very much appreciated, he stresses the importance of simply just showing up.
“I think just people coming out and supporting her and just spending the day with her would be really nice,” he noted.
Schramm, his girlfriend, and their supporters invite the public to come and enjoy the day with them.
