The Maritime Bay Classic will take over Manitowoc’s Downtown this Father’s Day for a cycling competition.
The race is a part of the Tour of America’s Dairyland series, the largest of its kind in the United States.
The day will kick off at 10:30 am with a family and dog-friendly 2-mile walk from the Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA to Pizza Garden, no registration required.
Then, from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 over 400 people from around the world will begin competing.
Later at 6:00 p.m., the Community House will feature a kid’s and fat bike race that is open to anyone.
During the day, food and drinks will be available from various vendors on Buffalo Street including a Petskull Brewing beer garden, a Bloody Mary bar at Chewy’s, brat fry items outside Pizza Garden, and Holla On Wheels food truck.
Bounce houses for children will also be inflated by Strand Adventures, and musical guests Dr. Bombay and Road Trip will begin their performances at 1:00 and 4:00 respectively.
The event organizers are still looking for volunteers.
All volunteers will get lunch, a free T-shirt, and an entry to win a $100 gift card to Pizza Garden and a $50 gift card to PetSkull Brewing.
