Statistics provided during the latest Manitowoc Police and Fire Commission meeting showed adult criminal charges were up significantly in the city for May, compared to the same month in 2022.
Adults facing criminal counts last month totaled 172 as opposed to 105 twelve months ago.
Juvenile criminal charges meanwhile were down slightly for May and showed a decline from 76 to 50 for the year so far.
The monthly Manitowoc Police Department accident numbers fell from 92 one year ago to 76 last month.
Traffic crashes over the first 5 months are 19 lower than they were in 2022.
