The City of Manitowoc has announced that a portion of Michigan Avenue is closed today (June 20th) for pavement repairs.
According to Billy Hutterer, Operations Manager, the closure which was due to begin at 6:00 this morning affects traffic on Michigan Avenue from Broadway Street to River Bluff Drive.
Eastbound traffic is being detoured south onto Broadway to County Highway R, then north on R, back to Michigan Avenue.
Motorists traveling westbound are detoured south onto River Bluff Drive to Broadway Street, then west on Broadway back to Michigan.
Hutterer stated the pavement repair work is expected to be completed by the end of the day and Michigan Avenue reopened to traffic by 4:00 p.m.
