Former Valders High School athlete and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive lineman Luke Goedeke donated two autographed pairs of his game-worn shoes to Heart-A-Rama’s silent auction this spring.
Those cleats brought in over $500 dollars for the American Heart Association.
One pair of Luke’s game-worn shoes went to 1997 Valders grad Corey Kupsh, who bid $301 at a Heart-A-Rama performance at the Two Rivers Community House.
Kupsh, who has two children, told the Valders Journal in a recent story, “Luke’s hard work and determination got him to the college level, but also in the NFL where he’s entering his 2nd year.”
He added, “It is kind of neat to have them from a local athlete. And, I’m supporting a great organization in Heart-A-Rama.”
In fact, the very unique local fundraiser has generated more than $3 million dollars since its inception.
Corey said those cleats will be displayed in the basement rec room at his home.
