On June 21st, Congressman Glenn Grothman introduced a bill that extends the enforcement period of spending caps by restraining federal spending.
There are many different endorsers supporting Grothman’s bill, known as the“Enforce the Caps Act”.
Grothman who represents eastern Wisconsin in Congress, believes that this bill can help with the nationwide dept issue.
He explained, “Americans are fed up with reckless spending, which has contributed to our debt towering above $31 trillion and inflation rising to 40-year highs.”
Jim Carter, Director of America First Policy Institute’s Center for American Prosperity says if the bill is not passed “the Congressional Budget Office says the federal debt will explode to over $45 trillion within the decade”.
