Coming up to the Fourth of July, road closures and detours have been released to ensure the easiest and safest way to celebrate America’s independence.
For the July 3rd celebration on Monday, the 600 and 700 blocks of USH 10/Quay Street will be closed from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on July 4th to traffic to allow the food trucks and the downtown concert to be set up by event organizers.
On July 4th, South 8th Street (from Washington Street to Maritime Drive) and Maritime Drive (from South 8th Street to Huron Street) will be closed from 9:30 am-11:30 am for the annual 4th on the Shore parade.
In addition to road closures, the Maritime Metro Transit buses will have reduced hours of 9:00 to 4:00 p.m. on July 3rd and will not be in service on July 4th.
Regular hours will resume on the 5th.
