The value of building projects in the city of Manitowoc exceeds $34 million through the first 5 months of 2023.
That information was derived from the Manitowoc Department of Building Inspection and announced during a recent Police and Fire Commission meeting.
New Commercial projects under construction in the city are headed by a nearly 50,000 square-foot expansion at Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry, 836 S. 16th Street, that is valued at over $4.7 million, followed by Bright Horizon Prop on N. 8th Street for an almost 82,000 square feet Paper Pellet Storage unit at more than $4.3 million.
New Commercial Projects that started in May include reroofing at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran on Meadow Lane, Interior alteration and interior fencing at Central Bark on Mirro Drive, and a Retaining Wall at the new FedEx distribution center on South 39th Street.
Manitowoc’s total building project value in 2022 was over $112 million.
