A suburban Milwaukee man was killed in a moped accident in Door County.
The Door County Sheriff’s office was notified of a one-vehicle crash at around 7:20 Tuesday evening in the town of Liberty Grove.
The Preliminary investigation indicated that the Franklin man was driving southbound on STH 42 on a moped when the driver lost control and entered the west ditch.
The 54-year-old man was ejected from the machine and struck a culvert pipe.
The driver was transported by helicopter to the Door County Medical Center before being transferred to a Green Bay hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The incident is still under investigation and no other information is being released at this time.
