The Manitowoc County Soil and Water Conservation Department expanded its $25 per acre cover crop cost-share program to help more farmers in Manitowoc County.
This program helps eligible participants receive a $25 reimbursement per acre to help with cover crop expenses.
Their goal in creating this program is to “contribute to the long-term health and productivity of our local farming community.”
The program is funded by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture and the Trade and Consumer Protection Soil and Water Resource Management Grant.
