A Canadian Pacific train derailed in Dodge County Tuesday, resulting in no reported injuries or spills.
According to the sheriff’s office, a total of 29 cars veered off the tracks in the vicinity of Reeseville. Canadian Pacific has confirmed that the derailed cars were transporting wheat, seed, and bentonite clay.
Despite the chaotic scene, Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt expressed relief, acknowledging that the situation could have been significantly more severe.
Presently, no definitive timeline has been provided regarding the investigation into the cause of the derailment or the estimated duration for the cleanup efforts.
