Starting this Saturday, Gumby’s Club Fore a Cure is hosting a golfing and a 5k glow run/walk event at Meadow Links to raise money for their cause: supporting local families affected by cancer.
Golfing starts at 4:00 p.m. with 24 teams, and there is still time to add your team of four.
The 5k glow run/walk will begin at 8:00, and you can register ahead of time or on-site for the cost of $25.
The celebration will continue into July 9th with two shifts of golfers.
There will also be 11 teams of bowlers, with space still available. Food, beverages, and raffles will be available on both days.
Unity The Band will perform on Sunday from 1:30-5:00 and there will also be a wine pull.
You don’t want to miss the ceremony at noon that will be hosted by Bill Jartz, and WOMT’s Lee Douglas, where they will present checks and feature speeches from multiple individuals.
If you can’t experience it firsthand, it will be streamed live on Gumby’s Club Fore a Cure Facebook page, followed by a live telethon from 1:00 to 4:00, hosted by Jason and Tina Prigge.
This will feature recipients of club donations, sponsors and committee members, and valuable items that will be auctioned off.
