Applications are now being accepted for this year’s Manitowoc County Fairest of the Fair.
The Fair Board says the contest for the title will happen during the week of the Fair on Saturday, August 26th.
The winner will be the official ambassador of the Fair and promote the Fair while advocating for the agriculture industry.
The reign of the new Fairest will begin on September 1st, and she will appear at parades and special events leading up to next year’s Fair.
The Fairest will also participate in radio interviews and record ads promoting the Fair.
After completing her reign, she will receive a $1500 scholarship.
Applicants should have high energy and strong enthusiasm for the Fair.
Additionally, if you are planning to enter an exhibit in the Open Class Division, the deadline for online entries is coming up.
The Fair Board says the deadline will be Saturday, July 15th.
This year’s Fair will run from Wednesday, August 23rd to Sunday, August 27th.
The Fair Board says the fair book is available online and entries can be completed through that method.
