A former member of the UW Green Bay Men’s Basketball team is now in legal trouble.
Police reports indicate that 27-year-old Sandy Cohen was pulled over by police at around 2:30 Sunday morning (July 9th) after he was said to be driving erratically and swerving into oncoming traffic on Cherry Street.
The officers reported a strong smell of intoxicants as they began talking with Cohen, who admitted to having consumed two shots.
Cohen then reportedly refused to exit the vehicle until a supervisor was there, but when a Sargent arrived, he continued to be uncooperative.
He did eventually exit the vehicle and was placed in handcuffs, but refused to take a breath test.
A search of the vehicle uncovered a substance later determined to be MDMA, more commonly referred to as ecstasy.
Cohen was arrested on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance as Party to the Crime, and was due for his initial appearance yesterday (July 10th).
