The Two Rivers School District is making strides towards a change in the future.
Monday night at the Plan Commission meeting, they discussed a submission by the Two Rivers School District and architects at Bray Associates for site changes and building expansions for L.B. Clarke Middle School.
The plans were ultimately approved, but City Manager Greg Buckley tells us the behind-the-scenes work isn’t over.
“The council does still need to act on the conveyance of property to the North of the school to the School District, an area that includes open space and a ballfield,” he explained. “The School District over the course of 2024, maybe continuing into 2025, will be completing improvements at L.B. Clarke.”
He continues improvements will include the expansions of a new wing to the North of the existing building and a new gymnasium to the West.
Buckley concludes that the Plan Commission is also focused on improving vehicle and pedestrian flow with the project.
