The Manitowoc Public School District Superintendent Jim Feil recently spoke about the goals and aspirations for the district during the next school year while on WOMT’s Be My Guest Program.
Though last year was a great school year, there was a lot of time spent planning how to improve the district and the academic success of students.
After a full year of planning, the school board has decided to implement a school improvement program to ensure that education in Manitowoc meets high standards.
Educators are beginning in-depth training on the new program to ensure a full understanding of the program and curriculum which will make implementation much smoother.
The school board has two goals for the new school year to improve the district, the first of which is to implement the new “Success for all” program, and the other is to implement a culture of excellence in the district.
“We’re gonna be the beacon of excellence, we’re gonna light the way,” Feil told host Lee Douglas. “I’m really excited about this.”
The goals for the district will help create academic excellence in the city of Manitowoc and create a stronger community within the school district.
