The identity of a Manitowoc man accused of child enticement has been released. 23-year-old Desmond E. McWilliams was taken into custody Tuesday after expecting to meet with a 16-year-old female for sexual contact.
The initial complaint indicated that McWilliams engaged in text messages offering controlled substances in exchange for sexual contact and that McWilliams may have threatened to release photographs of the 16-year-old if they did not participate in sexual contact.
A search conducted of McWilliams vehicle found controlled substances and a search on his phone found digital content that may suggest McWilliams did this with other juvenile females.
The Police Department urges other juvenile victims who may have had similar contact with McWilliams to contact law enforcement. The investigation is ongoing.
