Manitowoc Police are looking for more potential victims of a man charged with child enticement. Captain Peter McGinty says 23-year-old Desmond McWilliams of Manitowoc has apparently been trying to convince underage girls to have sexual contact with him in exchange for controlled substances. McWilliams was taken into custody last Tuesday after allegedly trying to meet a 16-year-old girl for sexual contact.
McGinty says a search of the defendant’s cellphone suggested he has made similar attempts with other underage girls. He is asking any other juvenile victims who may have had similar contact with McWilliams to reach out to police. The investigation is continuing and further forensic evidence is being reviewed.
