The inaugural Wisconsin Sand Sculpting Festival begins tomorrow (July 15th) at Red Arrow Park Beach.
10 competitive and semi-pro sand sculptors will construct massive sculptures along the beach.
Throughout the weekend individuals can watch and chat with competing sand sculptors, participate in lessons, and watch speed sculpting shows.
On Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00, both individuals and teams can compete in the 2023 Amateur Sand Sculpting State Championship.
The competition has 6 categories ranging from children up to age 8 to 18+.
Registration will take place ahead of the amateur competition from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
Additionally, there will be live performances, food trucks, and vendors each day, including Badger BINGO, face painting, and reading in the sand with the Manitowoc Public Library.
Admission is $5 per day or $10 for a three-day weekend pass.
