The Weill Center announced its participation in National Independent Venue Week.
With its sixth year in the U.S., Independent Venue Week aims to unite venues, fans, artists, promoters, labels, media and more to shine a spotlight on locally owned and operated live performance spaces.
Executive Director of the Weill Center explained why Venue Week is so important, stating “Independent venues like the Weill Center rely solely on ticket sales and donations to operate. We are incredibly fortunate for the support we receive from our community so we can continue to serve as a vital cultural and economic foundation for our area”.
The Weill joins over 400 venues in over 200 cities across the U.S. that aim to highlight that venues are so much more than just places for live music- they are hubs for entertainment, creativity, arts, and culture that widely connect people.
Tonight (July 14th) the Weill is featuring five of Wisconsin’s most talented up-and-coming comedians at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for all Weill Center events can be found online at WeillCenter.com.
