The 41st Annual Kewaunee Door County Salmon Tournament is now underway.
Starting on the 14th, the tournament goes through July 23rd.
This event is one of the largest fishing tournaments in North America, luring a record 3,310 entrants this past summer.
With a first prize of $15,000 cash as well as a custom-made salmon ring, more than $50,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded throughout the week.
Entry tickets are $30 for the full contest, or $20 for a one-day chance and can be purchased throughout the tournament.
Though some unsettled weather can be seen, there are numerous things that bode well for the event, such as cool water present, favorable to salmon, as well as large schools of bait fish seen in the waters.
