An inmate death at the Taycheedah Correctional Institution in Fond du Lac County is being called a homicide by investigators.
Officers found 68-year-old Cindy Schulz-Juedes unresponsive in her cell on Wednesday and attempts to revive her were unsuccessful.
It is being reported that she was beaten, however, the Fond du Lac Police Department has neither confirmed nor denied that claim.
The investigation is in its early stages, and no additional information has been released.
Schulz-Juedes was incarcerated after a jury found her guilty of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide and Resisting or Obstructing an Officer for the killing of her husband in 2006.
She was serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
