A Manitowoc woman is facing charges after she allegedly drove drunk with a child in the car and resisted arrest.
Officers were sent to a home in the 1100 block of South 21st Street just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday on a report of a woman who was acting belligerent and cursing at a man inside.
The caller told the officers that the 22-year-old woman had pounded on the door of her child’s father’s home and made obscene comments.
The woman was pulled over while driving in the 900 block of Jay Street, where the officers conducted field sobriety tests, which she failed.
While being detained, the woman allegedly resisted, resulting in her and the arresting officer going to the ground, injuring the officer.
The woman has been charged with OWI with a Child Under 16, her first offense, Battery to Law Enforcement, and two counts of Resisting an Officer Causing Soft Tissue Injury.
