A bridge over I-41 in Little Chute is slated to be replaced after being damaged last year.
The bridge which connects Rose Hill Road on each side of the interstate highway was hit just under a year ago by a dump truck, and patchwork has been done to keep the bridge operational.
However, the DOT has announced that as a part of their I-41 expansion project, the entire bridge will be torn down and rebuilt.
The entire project will expand I-41 to six lanes of travel between Appleton and De Pere, improve or add 10 interchanges, and replace a total of six bridges along the project route.
The multi-year project is scheduled to begin next spring, with the Rose Hill Road Bridge slotted to be replaced in 2025.
