The Green Bay Rockers split their weekend series with The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters.
The Rockers scattered 10 hits in Saturday’s game at Capital Credit Union Park en route to a 7-2 win. Jayson Jones batted in 3 runs for the Rockers while Jack Holman added a pair with a two-run shot in the 1st inning.
However, during Sunday’s game, the bats were not nearly as active.
The Rockers had 4 hits in a 9-1 loss.
Only three Rocker batters had hits, with AJ Anzai picking up a pair, and the only run came on an error.
All four Green Bay pitchers that took the mound have up at least a run, with the majority of the damage being pinned on starter Brett Sanchez.
He went 5 innings and allowed 4 runs on 6 hits.
The Rockers will look to improve their 33-27 record tonight with the start of a two-game road series.
They will be taking on the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders at Herr-Baker Field starting at 6:35 this evening.
Grayson Walker is scheduled to get the start for Green Bay.
