Tuesday night, Police Departments around the nation will be hosting a National Night Out to nurture police-community camaraderie in their areas.
Two Rivers PD is no exception, holding their event at Walsh Field from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
There will be several units from a variety of departments including TR police and fire, Manitowoc County Sherriff Squads, WI State Patrol, US Coast Guard, Pink Heals Firetrucks, and more.
There will be food and a scavenger hunt complete with prizes.
An obstacle course will also be on the list of activities.
Officer Briana Propson tells Seehafer News, “The obstacle course is going to be kind of geared towards a fire department test a little bit, so they’ll get to drag a hose, do a sprint, pull a hose across the finish line, jump a mini wall, stuff like that.”
Several demos will happen throughout the night, starting with a Manitowoc County drone around 6:15, TRPD Canines around 6:40, an Eagle III Medical Helicopter Landing at 7:15, and a display of emergency lights at 7:45 p.m. to close the day.
