The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation has awarded nearly $1 million this year to twelve organizations in the state.
Founded in 2021, the Entrepreneurship Partner Grants are annual donations made to local organizations that support entrepreneurs.
This year, the Northeastern Wisconsin Technical College of Green Bay has received a grant of $6,200 which they plan to use to assist 20 individuals from rural counties with their current business needs and planning.
Oconto County Development Corporation received $100,000 which will be used to create an entrepreneurship training program for youth.
Other recipients include the Hmong American Center of Wausau, WiSys and Doyenne of Madison, Couleecap of Sparta, Develop America, BizStarts, SCORE, and the Milky Way Tech Hub of Milwaukee, the Platteville Business Incubator, and the Western Dairyland Economic Opportunity Council of Independence.
Applications for the next round of grants are now open and the deadline is August 31st.
