Rescue teams in Eau Claire are on standby as they await updates regarding a missing swimmer.
A thorough search of the Chippewa River was conducted by firefighters yesterday in an effort to locate an individual who had become separated from their swimming group.
Despite extensive efforts, no trace of the swimmer was discovered, leading to the suspension of the search as night fell.
The fire department has indicated that they are prepared to resume river operations today should the missing individual not be located.
