The July incident report for the City of Manitowoc Police Department shows the number of Car and Boat entries/thefts is up this summer.
The monthly report as presented to the Police and Fire Commission this week also indicates Adult Criminal Charges rose from 110 a year ago in July to 164 incidents last month.
Accidents in the city were lower in July and over the first 7 months of 2023.
The MPD reported 72 accidents last month, down 8 from a year ago while the year-to-date figure fell from 656 at this time in 2022 to 601 through the end of last month.
