The Diocese of Green Bay has announced two leadership promotions for Shawano’s Camp Tekakwitha.
The camp was established to fulfill the mission of deepening the faith lives of all campers and guests, and helping youth develop leadership and team-building skills.
McKenna Runde has been promoted to the role of Director of Camp Tekakwitha after her experience in several roles including the most recent Communications and Alumni Relations Coordinator.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in youth ministry and nonprofit leadership and has spent 10 total years at the camp, both as a camper and a staff member.
Kaitlynn Kupsky has assumed the role of full-time Summer Camp Director in her 11th summer at Camp Tek.
She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in applied leadership.
Runde wants to “[deepen] the quality of experience [they] provide for campers,” especially leading up to their 100th anniversary in 2026.
Kupsky says that “some of the best parts of Camp Tek are seeing campers grow in their faith, self-confidence, and friendships.”
Both are being warmly welcomed after tremendous growth the camp has seen in the past few years, and are ready to grow even more.
