Motorists are being alerted to another sober driving enforcement effort coming up in late August.
Manitowoc Police Lt. Adam Sohlden announces that the local department will be joining law enforcement agencies around the state and the nation for the Labor Day Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.
From August 18th through Labor Day on September 4th, officers will be working together to get impaired drivers off the roads and keep everyone safe.
Sohlden said police anticipate more people will be out for final summer trips and they want to make sure every traveler can get to their destination safely.
The harm that can come from impaired driving is 100% preventable if everyone plans ahead.
