The Wisconsin Maritime Museum (WMM) has created a new brewing workshop.
With the earliest breweries in Wisconsin dating to the early 1800s, beer has remained synonymous with the state’s identity.
The workshop will run for two days, the first to brew the beer on August 24th, and the second to bottle on September 7th once it has fermented.
WMM’s Chief Curator and brewery historian Kevin Cullen, tells Seehafer News, “Once it’s fermented out, to learn the process of putting the beer in the bottles and taking it home. So, it’s basically a home brewing workshop, with some history in there.”
Cullen continues on what exactly attendees will be making.
“The recipe I decided is going to be kind of a throwback to Rahr’s old imperial pale ale,” he explained. “So that was a historic recipe that Rahr’s brewing company had.”
Space is limited and registration closes on August 20th.
Tickets can be purchased online at WisconsinMaritime.org.
