This weekend the annual Newton Firefighters Picnic returns.
The weekend-long event will have truck and tractor pulls, live music, food, drinks, a volleyball tournament, kid’s games, a parade, and more.
The 3-day event will start on Friday with food available beginning at 5:00 p.m. Later at 7:00 p.m. the truck and tractor pulls will begin.
The last scheduled event of the night will be live music from Cherry Pie starting at 8:30 p.m.
Starting earlier on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. there will be an auction for small items and lawn equipment along with farm machinery beginning later at 12:00 p.m.
The truck and tractor pulls will begin at 7:00 p.m. and live music from the Glam Band will start at 8:30 p.m.
On Sunday at 11:30 p.m. the annual Newton Firefighters Picnic Parade will begin. Later, at 1:30 p.m. there will be live music from Nettle Hill.
Ending off the weekend will be the 70 Team Volleyball tournament.
