In Girls Tennis: Manitowoc Lincoln competed yesterday (Thursday) in the season-opening Shawano Invitational.
Coach Stephanie Henschel said the Ships defeated the host Shawano Hawks 6-to-1 with victories coming in all 4 singles flights as well as #1 and #3 doubles.
Lincoln also topped Oshkosh North 6-to-1, again highlighted by a sweep of all 4 singles matches.
The Ships are scheduled to travel to Hart Park in Wauwatosa for another invitational meet Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Roncalli Jets dropped a dual tennis meet to Kewaskum yesterday 6-to-1.
Coach Ryan Manis told us his team’s lone victory came at #1 doubles from Madison and Megan Lamers who did not drop a game in their straight-set win.
